Oversee and manage all aspects of the delivery of high-quality, compassionate, cost-effective health care in Harvard University’s Stillman Infirmary (10-bed facility) and After Hours Urgent Care Clinic (which provides episodic and urgent care to students, faculty, staff, dependents and retirees). Key responsibilities include: working closely with the Harvard University Health Services (HUHS) management team to support, promote and develop HUHS goals and objectives; planning; directing and coordinating clinic practice activities and ensuring compliance with HUHS, state, regulatory and accrediting bodies’ policies and procedures regarding the delivery of health care; providing direct clinical care and supervising physicians and nurse practitioners; and working under the direction of the Chief of Medicine and with the University to ensure optimal delivery of health care and health promotion.
Requirements
Must possess at least three years of experience as an urgent care physician and be board certified in at least one of the following: Internal Medicine; Family Practice; combined Medicine-Pediatrics or Emergency Medicine. Must be a graduate of a U.S.-based residency program with current licensure in Massachusetts and current BLS/ACLS certification. Working knowledge of the primary care model is desired. Substantive professional experience in clinical management, managed care quality improvement, supervision and clinical protocol development is preferred but not required.
