Description
The Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco seeks a faculty researcher to join our dynamic, nationally-recognized research program studying the transformation of primary care. Family physicians or social scientist PhDs are eligible to apply, and will be appointed in the appropriate Academic Senate-eligible faculty series (In-Residence research series or “Clinical X” scholar series) at the rank appropriate for the candidate’s experiences and qualifications.
The selected candidate will be integrated into a strong network of UCSF research programs, including the UCSF Center for Excellence in Primary Care and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute Community Engagement and Health Policy Program. Physicians will be able to have a part-time clinical practice in the department.
Requirements
Candidates must have evidence of excellence in research scholarship, including a proven track record of extramural grant funding and peer-reviewed publications. Preference will be given to candidates with at least 3 years of experience in a research faculty position, with the ideal candidate being an established independent investigator. A research focus on studying and evaluating innovations in primary care and new models of care is desired, although candidates with a research focus in related areas of primary care will be considered.
