Building a Community For Clinical Innovation
Clinical innovation has the biggest impact when a communtiy innovates together. This means that clinical innovation work is done by teams, ideally across health professions and stages of training; clinical innovators can come together to support each other, learn, and share best practices; trainees are taught clinical innovation skills; and clinics are structured to support clinical innovation. These changes can only happen if people come together as a community. Here are a few ideas for getting your community to advance clinical innovation together.
Local Clinical Innovation Case Study Workshop
- Bring in existing clinician innovators to talk about their project, and get trainees and other providers to think about solutions to real clinic problems.
Primary Care Innovation Collaborative
- Teams of trainees and providers work on clinical innovation projects together, and come together as a large group to present, support, and get ideas.
